Amalie was commissioned to create a portrait of H.E. Ahmed Khalifa Al Suwaidi, which will be hung in his Majlis in Al Ain, H.E. Ahmed Khalifa Al Suwaidi was the right hand of the founding father of the U.A.E H.R.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Rest his soul.

Amalie is one of the winning artists for the FBMI Initiative, ‘a Year of the 50th’, a humanitarian cause by her royal highness sheikha Fatima bint mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, two of her artworks have been donated and selected to create carpets from and all the funds raised from the sales will go towards building 50 wells in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Education in the uae commissioned Amalie as one of the artist to hold a fine art workshop for university and high school students from across the emirates, at Sharjah Art university, she held a 6 day workshop and was featured in a documentary for expo 2020 by the renowned emarati film director Nayla al Khaja.

Beljafla was commissioned by Souk Madinat Jumeirah for a second large-scale mural in the souk’s main dome, titled “Al Noor” The piece measured Approximately 25 meters squared.

On the 12th – 26th of November, Amalie had her second international exhibition in Oslo, Norway held by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in celebration of cultural exchanges between the UAE and Norway held at Mesh Gallery in OSLO, Norway.

On the 12th – 18th of November, Amalie had her 3rd exhibition with Hunar Art Gallery at the illustrious Abu Dhabi Art Fair showcasing a body of 32 new works from two new collections titled “The Zayed Al Khair Collection Part II” and “The Religions United Collection”.

Amalie launched her bespoke design house Troll Designs, which works across a wide variety of creative genres from; Advertising, Brand Identities and collateral, product design, and bespoke wedding stationery.

Amalie Collaborated with H.E. Mr Khalid Seddiq and his gallery Etihad Modern Art Gallery to Design T-Shirts as well as Stationary using her illustrations for Emirates Red Crescent.

Amalie’s first book “For You” got published by Balboa Press a division of Hayhouse, one of the biggest publishing companies in the U.K. in The, U.S. “For You” is now available to purchase internationally on Amazon, at Balboa Press’s website, and in several bookshops.

Amalie won the Grazia award and showcased her collection in Dubai at Fashion forward in souk Madinat Jumeirah, and was invited to meet with Vogue Italy.

Amalie won the Vogue and Fashion Forward award for best upcoming Middle Eastern designer of the year and was asked to showcase her work during Dubai Fashion Forward on April 2013.

Amalie launched her first semi-couture women’s wear collection called the “Flamingo Collection AW13” on the 18th of February at London’s Bulgari Hotel where the ballroom was transformed into a Lagoon with reeds to mimic the Flamingo’s habitat. More than 600 guests attended.

Amalie was chosen by Fn Designs, a graphics design company based in Dubai, as one of the 30 artists to design a Skateboard for the FAKIE event, which was exhibited on the 19th of January 2012 at Tashkeel STUDIOS in DUBAI.

Amalie participated in a project set by the Belgian Tourist Office called “The First and the Last” to commemorate sacrifices made in the Great War 1914-18. Her art piece for this project was showcased in the OXO gallery and the Swiss Cottage Library gallery.
Amalie did a collaboration with one of the Middle East’s well known fashion designers, Khaleda Rajab, from Bahrain, creating hand-drawn illustrated scarves, the collection was available in several boutiques in Fall 2012-2013.
